Dudh Khichdi Recipe (for kids)

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1/4th cup moong dal
  2. 1/4th cup rice
  3. 1&1/2 cup milk
  4. 3 tbsp Jaggery powder or as per taste
  5. 1 pinch cardamom powder
  6. 1 tbsp ghee
  7. 1/4 tsp haldi
  8. 1 pinch salt
  9. 1&1/2 cup water
  10. 2 tbsp almond slices

STEPS :-

Wash moong dal and rice, 3 times in water then soak both for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, put soaked dal and rice and salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

After releasing pressure by cooker, open the cooker and mix well khichdi.

Take kadai, boil milk. Once the milk starts boiling add khichdi and cook on slow flame for 5 minutes.

Thereafter add almonds and cardomom powder and mix well.

Turn off the gas. Wait for 2 minutes, then add jaggery powder and ghee and mix well.
